ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER. OH YES.

I’m sure the world has seen the new trailer for Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, which hits theaters this year on June 22. The film is being produced in 3D, so please expect plenty of vampire heads zooming from the screen at full force. Sounds fun!

I freaking love the trailer. The music is menacing and there appears to be a lot of action. The concept and story line is original and I can’t wait to see this.

For those who don’t know, the movie is based on the 2010 book by Seth Grahame-Smith. It’s available now as an e-book so all of my fellow Kindle Fire owners should go online and buy it! I’m going to start reading it today and I’ll post a book review as soon as I finish it.

When people talk about Abraham Lincoln, the topics of slavery, the Civil War, and his assassination are usually mentioned. But who knew President Lincoln kept a secret journal where he documented his secret identity as a vampire hunter? I’d prefer to have a president who chases down zombies but I guess we’ll have to wait for another author to stumble upon another president’s secret diary.

Just a sidenote. I saw the poster, and it’s too “Sweeney Todd” for me. Tim Burton directed Sweeney Todd and he’s producing AL:VH… that’s ALL I’m going to say about that.
