SCANDAL SEASON 3, EPISODE 7 RECAP “WE DO NOT TOUCH THE FIRST LADIES”

The Andy and Mellie / Fitz and Olivia Situation

Liv and Fitz are having a huge argument and Jake is outside the door listening with Secret Service. They are arguing about Jake being compromised because he likes Liv, they are pretend dating, and it could cause Jake to go against Fitz. Liv says she has goals and ambitions but she can’t do anything if she’s known as Fitz’ whore.

14 years ago – flashback with Mellie and Fitz arguing while Andy is listening. Fitz doesn’t understand why Mellie won’t let him touch her, and why she avoids her father.

Carla Steele has a tip about Oxy pill abuse in Fitz’ administration during his time as California governor. Andy takes the blame. He says that he hurt his back and instead of going to a doctor he decided to find his own Oxy pills.

Olivia threatens to revoke Carla’s press pass and her access to the president but Carla insists that she has proof to back up the story.

Liv eliminates Leo as the source of Carla’s story. She calls Jake because she suspects her father is behind it. Jake is hesitant at first but he tells her he’ll find out what her father is up to.

Flashback: Mellie tried to overdoes on Oxy pills but Andy found her in time and forced her to throw up the pills. Now, Andy tells Mellie that he will take the fall because someone needs to protect her, not even her husband.

Liv meets Eli for dinner and tries to get him to confess to the Nichols drug story. He blows her off, and on her way out of the restaurant she sees Quinn spying on her. She tries to convince Quinn to come back to the office but Quinn points a gun at Liv and tells her to go away.

Jake goes to Liv’s apartment and tells her that she can’t ask him questions about classified information, she can’t keep asking him to run errands related to her father, and she needs to stock her fridge with beer and real food.

Harrison and Abby meet with the doctor who provided the drugs 14 years ago. The doctor lets it slip that a woman wanted the drugs, not a man.

Flashback: Andy asks Mellie why she tried to commit suicide and she tells him that she was raped by Fitz’ father and she doesn’t know if Jerry, Jr. is Fitz’ child or Big Jerry’s child.

At the last second Carla’s interview with the doctor gets canceled because it looks like someone paid him to tell this story about the drugs. Liv correctly guesses that Andy was planning to take the fall for Mellie. Liv tells Mellie, “Whatever is going on between you and Andy needs to stop. Trust me, I know how hard it is but we have an election to win.” Mellie says that nothing has ever happened between her and Andy, and she tells Liv, “You and I are NOT the same.”

After a fundraising dinner Mellie and Andy have a moment alone in a room full of the First Lady portraits. He makes a remark about Mellie not liking Olivia, although it appears Fitz likes her very much. Mellie and Andy share a passionate kiss and then she breaks away and leaves the room.

Fitz asks Liv if she has feelings for Jake. She says she doesn’t know. Jake overhears this because he’s watching a live feed of Fitz’ office.
Adnan makes her move

Harrison and Adnan are getting dressed and she has a briefcase full of money that she wants Harrison to take care of. He refuses and then Adnan asks if Liv knows about Clearwater, or does Liv only know about the insider trading?

Harrison calls the Grant campaign and says he would like to make a donation.
James is safe- for now

James freaks out during the entire episode because he’s afraid that Cyrus has learned he is Publius. David suggests sending the NSA tape to the journalist Vanessa Chandler and let her write about it. James sends her the video and now she wants to meet him so she can verify the source. James freaks out and David offers to go in his place.

Charlie was able to copy Vanessa’s SIM card and he shows Cyrus the text from Publius (to Vanessa) with a meeting place and time.

At the fundraising dinner Cyrus tells James that someone is meeting Vanessa to find out who her source is. James tries to call David and warn him, but he’s too late and someone has already found David and stuffed him in the truck of a car. It turns out Abby and Huck saved him!

Charlie is watching Vanessa and he sees that the source never showed up. Cyrus is frustrated.

Adnan introduces herself to Cyrus and tells him she can provide unlimited funds to help the Grant campaign. Then Adnan goes back to her hotel room and tells Mama Pope that everything is okay: “We’re in.”
Howdy, Hollis!

Hollis! He meets with Sally and Leo to discuss a pick for Energy Secretary. Hollis will cut Sally a check if she picks someone who will let Hollis drill in the North Pole. Meanwhile Sally is stricken by her memories of Daniel’s dead body.

Hollis meets with Cyrus and says he’ll be at the donor dinner, and he also asks Cyrus about the Energy secretary position.

Fitz sees Hollis at the dinner and he tells Cyrus the Grant campaign will not take any money from Hollis, and Cyrus needs to send Hollis a refund for whatever he has paid so far.
Some loose ends:
Jake receives a briefcase full of highly classified documents. He has the highest security clearance of any officer. He has briefings on all B6-13 operations worldwide, plus he has a special agent within Secret Service: Tom!

Quinn and Jake have a meeting and he encourages her to go back to Olivia. Quinn shows him pictures of Leo and Eli talking, and she tells him to find her when he needs her again.

Huck keeps bringing Olivia a cup of coffee even though he knows she doesn’t drink coffee. He apologizes for what he did to Quinn and Liv says he went too far. He tells Liv that SHE went too far, because she knows what kind of person he is but she still gave Quinn to him and encouraged him to groom her.

THE FOLLOWING SEASON 2, EPISODE 7 RECAP “SACRIFICE”

The Following Season 2, Episode 7 Recap

Joe Carroll meets a new cult.

Joe, Emma, and Mandy drive up to a camp hidden in a wooded area. Joe wants to meet with Robert, who visited him a few times in prison and is involved with this new cult.

A woman named Julia arrives with armed men and they all force Joe, Emma, and Mandy to un-dress inside the camp. She treats them like they are new recruits. It turns out Julia is married to Micah, the leader of the camp.

Joe and Micah meet. Joe asks Micah for help, but Micah isn’t too thrilled about having him at the camp. He tells Joe that he won’t be in charge here because it’s the ‘Micah show’. Joe humbly asks for refuge.

Julia gives Joe a lie detector test to see if he’s being truthful about wanting to start a new life at the camp. He passes the test but something has left Julia feeling unnerved.

In the evening there is a huge gathering at the camp. Joe, Emma, and Mandy are dressed in all white while the other cult members wear black robes and white masks. Emma is brought on a stage and restrained, and Micah cuts her wrists. Her blood drains into a cup and Micah drinks it.

Afterwards Julia meets with Joe and she tells him that Emma is still alive. Joe believes Emma was targeted in an attempt to weaken him, and Julia admits that she doesn’t trust him.

Lily’s Retaliation

Agent Mendez finally believes Ryan’s assertion that Joe Carroll is alive. She also believes that someone in the FBI is tipping off Joe and that his DNA may have been swapped. Mendez tells Ryan that she doesn’t respect his reckless behavior and how it impacts the people he loves. She also tells him that he is still facing federal charges.

Mike tells Ryan that he is going home because he’s still having trouble dealing with the aftermath of Havenport and Deborah’s death. He says therapy hasn’t helped, and he almost killed Luke so it’s time for him to leave.

Max wants Ryan to stop hunting Joe Carroll, and he tells her that everything he has done so far (like not drinking alcohol and getting healthy) is to stop Joe.

Max is in a parking garage and she sees a father grabbing his young son. She runs over to help and the man dumps her in the trunk of his car with the help of his son. She was setup! Then Lily contacts Ryan to tell him that she has Max.

Ryan, Mike, and the FBI team check out surveillance footage and spot the car that abducted Max. Ryan goes to Luke to see if he knows who Lily would use to kidnap people. Luke says Lily has hired “The Huntsman”, a serial killer who chases prostitutes through the woods, kills them, and guts them. The FBI learn his name is Kurt and they find a location on him.

The FBI arrives at Kurt’s home to find his wife and his son. Ryan (correctly) guesses the son was at the parking garage when Max was abducted. Mike and Ryan restrain the little boy until he gives up information about Kurt’s whereabouts.

Max fights The Huntsman and escapes into the woods. He chases behind her as the FBI team shows up a few minutes later to find the small shed where she was being held.

Mike and Ryan run into the woods and Mike finds Max. Ryan finds The Huntsman and shoots and kills him.

The FBI crew returns to headquarters and Ryan sees a new video from Lily. This time she’s in a living room, and Mike recognizes it as his dad’s home. Mark is standing behind Mike’s dad, who is restrained in a chair. Then Mark slits the man’s throat. Mike cries as Ryan tries to console him, and Lily warns there are more surprises coming soon.

BATES MOTEL SEASON 2, EPISODE 1 RECAP “GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN”

Recap starts here:

Norma receives an automated call that Ms. Blair Watson has died. Norma asks Norman about Ms. Watson offering to drive him home. He doesn’t remember anything. Later, we see him crying at the funeral. He has her pearl necklace.

Bradley drives to a bridge and jumps into the water.

Skip 4 months later. (HAIM’s music is playing! The song is called “The Wire”)

The motel is very successful and Emma is still working there at the front desk. Meanwhile, Norman spends a lot of time in the basement with a dead beaver that he is preparing to stuff.

Bradley is in a mental hospital and Norman writes to her, but his letters are sent back to him, unopened. Bradley leaves the hospital but she seems angry and possibly medicated.

Norma is teaching Norman how to drive and he gets frustrated when she criticizes his driving. He stops at a cemetery to visit Ms. Watson’s grave and Norma accuses him of being ‘morbid.’ On their way home from the cemetery Norma sees a construction crew starting work on the new bypass. She vows to talk to the city council about it.

Bradley talks to Gil (her father’s boss) about the death of her father, Jerry. She wants to know who did it, and Gil claims he doesn’t know but then he menacingly asks Bradley if she wants to come inside his home and talk about it. She leaves and goes home, and then Norman stops by. He tells Bradley that he will always be around if she needs him, but she doesn’t respond and he leaves.

Norman goes to the cemetery again and sees a stranger looking at Ms. Watson’s grave. Norman takes a picture of the man and runs away from him.

At work, Gil tells Dylan to let him know if Bradley comes around. According to Remo, Gil and Ms. Watson were dating and then Gil found out she was sleeping with Jerry. Also, Ms. Watson was the daughter of the local weed family.

Norman tells Romero about the stranger he saw by Ms. Watson’s grave. He shows a picture of the man to Romero, who appears to know him. Then Romero questions Norman about Ms. Watson and his whereabouts on the night she died. It appears Romero suspects Norman was involved in her death.

Norma goes to her city council meeting and gets shut down by the president when she protests the bypass. She calls him a dick and blasts the town for their illegal activity that keeps it running. Everyone just stares at her and the meeting is adjourned.

Bradley and Dylan meet in secret. He tells her what he found out about Gil, Jerry, and Ms. Watson. He tells her to stop asking questions and move on. Bradley is also upset because Dylan doesn’t respond to her emails, and he tells her that Norman likes her and there are lines that you don’t cross.

Romero tells Norma about his earlier chat with Norman. She storms home and tells Norman that he is obsessed with Ms. Watson’s death and she doesn’t understand why. Norman tells her what really happened that night: He went to Ms. Watson’s home, she seemed attracted to him and she undressed in front of him. Then he blacked out and all he remembers is running home. Norman believes someone broke into the home and killed Ms. Watson while he was unconscious. Norma comforts him.

Bradley goes to Gil’s house and she begins to seduce him while asking questions about Ms. Watson’s relationship with Jerry. Then Bradley pulls a gun from her purse and shoots Gil in the head. Later she sneaks into Norman’s room and begs him to help her.

Lily introduces Joe to the rest of the people living in her house. He seems surprised to learn about the twins, Luke and Mark. An angry Emma watches from the background, but she finally gets a moment alone with Joe. She asks why he never tried to find her, why did he abandon her and leave her all alone, why didn’t he tell her that he would fake his death? Joe says that he failed her and he is sorry, but Emma quietly walks away.

Once again the FBI works wonders with surveillance cameras, and they see footage of Ryan fighting Giselle, and then Max getting on the train. Now Agent Mendez wants the FBI to call local officials in Connecticut.

FBI learns about Judy in Arkansas, along with the missing pastor and the missing daughter, Mandy.

Joe and Emma meet up again, and he apologizes again. He asks Emma to trust Lily but Emma says ‘They are all crazy.’ Joe says he has a plan for them to start over. Meanwhile, Lily asks Mark to keep Emma busy. She wants to spend some time with Joe without Emma lurking around.

Mark takes Emma to a room where they can paint. Emma starts a portrait of Mark and then he walks over and strokes her face. She gently touches his face but then he freaks out and tells her that she can’t touch him without permission. Emma gets angry and tries to leave but finds that Mark locked them in the room.

Lily has kidnapped and sedated a young college woman, and she presents the woman to Joe as an offering. There are torture tools nearby. Joe is disgusted and walks out of the room.

Joe tells Lily that he will not be controlled. Then he goes to the room where the college girl is being held and he kills her. Afterwards he goes to Lily’s room and has sex with her.

Emma finishes her portrait of Mark, but a close look shows Mark’s body with Joe’s face.

– – Max, Ryan, and Gisele – –

Max follows Gisele off the train. Gisele calls Luke and tells him about Ryan and Max trying to detain her. She says she’ll hide out at the factory. He tells her not to worry and he’ll pick her up soon.

Ryan is driving to the station and tells Max to not follow Giselle. Of course Max doesn’t listen.

Ryan and Max corner Giselle and forcibly take her to a motel room. Ryan tells Giselle that she needs to start talking and give up Lily’s location. Giselle spits in Ryan’s face and he chokes her.

Max starts to call her FBI colleagues and then Gisele gives up the location of the factory, claiming that’s where Lily and the twins are. Max wants to be Ryan’s backup but he demands that she stay with Giselle and he’ll go alone to the factory.

Gisele is handcuffed, and she injures her hand as she forces it out of the cuff. She starts heading to the factory.

Luke arrives at the factory with one of the guys from Lily’s house. He engages in a shootout with Ryan. Ryan gets hit by a bullet and he kills Luke’s partner before running away.

Gisele arrives and meets with Luke. They run into the woods to track down Ryan and kill him.

Ryan finds a house where he can quickly nurse his wound but Luke and Gisele show up a little bit later. Gisele taunts Ryan and says she killed Max, and Ryan stabs her to death. Luke shoots after Ryan but he misses, and Ryan is able to escape while Luke mourns for Giselle.

TV REVIEW: THE FOLLOWING, SEASON 2 EPISODE 4 REVIEW

Hi folks, here’s my review of season 2, episode 4 titled “Family Affair.”

TV RECAP: THE FOLLOWING “RESURRECTION” SEASON 2, EPISODE 1

We finish up the scene from the season 1 finale. Joe’s follower stabs Ryan and Claire, stabs Claire a second time and then Ryan kills her.

Mike Weston visits Ryan at the hospital and tells him that Claire died from her injuries.

– ONE YEAR LATER –

Ryan seems to be in good health. He’s going to AA meetings. We meet his sponsor, Barry, and another AA member, Melissa. He’s also a teacher.

His niece, Max, comes over to keep him company during the 1 year anniversary of Havenport/Joe’s death/Claire’s death. There’s a party with the niece, her boyfriend, Barry, and Melissa.

On a subway train three people in Joe Carroll masks appear and start stabbing and killing the passengers. One person yells, “The resurrection is coming! Joe Carroll lives! Ryan Hardy can’t stop us!”

Mike Weston is at home, far away from New York. He was suspended awhile ago, but Agent Phillips has asked him to come back to New York and investigate the subway killings.

A young woman, Heather, is walking to her apartment door and shares flirtatious glances with a young man hanging around. He strangles her to death and lays in bed with her.

– Flashback to 8 months ago, the last time Ryan and Mike saw each other – Ryan is drunk at the bar. Mike tells him Joey is safe with his grandmother in witness protection. It’s almost time to testify before the grand jury, and Mike begs Ryan to not talk, and just say “I don’t remember” to all of the questions.

Lily Gray survived the subway attack and she talks to the FBI agents, Mike, and Ryan.

Crazy guy cooks food and dances with Heather’s dead body. Wait…there’s two! He has a twin.

Emma is in New Jersey wearing a punk, multi-color hairdo and lip piercings. She’s stunned by the attacks.

At FBI HQ, Mike uses a body scan on the surveillance footage and IDs a guy named Carlos. Agents Phillips and Mendez are trying to get Ryan’s help but he is very resistant and he leaves.

Ryan sits down with Max and goes through his case notes. Looks like these two have been working for awhile to track down Carroll. Ryan finds some information about Carlos. Max locates his most recent home address and Ryan goes to pay a visit. He doesn’t call the FBI.

Carlos says Joe escaped unharmed from the lighthouse. He was going to drive Joe away but the police road blocks caused Joe to flee the car and go off into the darkness.

After a brief scuffle Carlos gets away from Ryan and runs to Giselle’s apartment. Ryan searches Carlos’ apartment and finds a playbill with Heather’s name circled on it. He calls Max and she tells him a young woman was found dead. Emma is following Ryan and she watches him leave the apartment building.

Mike confronts Ryan at the crime scene for secluding himself after the events at the lighthouse. Heather’s body is tied to a bench with a book taped to her hands, and she’s wearing a light white dress and red lips. This is a Claire-like character from Joe’s book.

The crazy twins (Luke with the slicked back hair and Mark with the bangs) visit Carlos at Giselle’s apartment. They are worried that Ryan found some incriminating evidence at his apartment. Turns out the twins are followers of Joe Carroll but they are leaders of a rogue group that has no connection to Emma and her people.

In the last scene we see Joe Carroll walk into a random prostitute’s home. A young girl in the house calls him ‘Darryl’. He lives!

SAD TIMES: NBC CANCELS ‘DECEPTION’

Hi folks, I have some sad news for the #RenewDeception fans: It’s been canceled. Huffington Post has the details. Seems like the declining ratings really hurt the show, even though the writing and the acting were pretty solid in the second half of the season.

Deception NBC

I understand why this show was canceled but trust me, I don’t like it. This show started off very slowly and a little shaky. The storyline was tough to get into in the first couple episodes, and the characters were very cliche to me. I’m sure lots of people stopped watching at this point.

However, as we headed into mid-season the show hit a really strong groove. The storyline seemed to even out and gave us an awesome conspiracy surrounding the death of Vivian Bowers, and each character developed their own interesting storylines.

I especially loved episode 9 titled ‘Good Luck With Your Death’. The writing was excellent,  the characters threw some incredibly nasty insults at each other, and we saw some of the best scenes of the entire series, including the following:

Meagan Good and Wes Brown gave the viewers something to root for as their characters Joanna and Julian tried to navigate through their complicated relationship. They are affectionately referred to as ‘Jolian’ by the Deception fandom but unfortunately we won’t see new Jolian moments in a season 2.

If you watched Deception, are you sad to see it go or do you think the cancellation is justified?

THE FOLLOWING “THE END IS NEAR” SEASON 1 EPISODE 14 RECAP

*spoilers below*

The FBI moves in, and Carroll starts the escape plan

With Joey Matthews in the FBI’s custody, he has given them a detailed description of the Crazy House. The FBI starts house hunting.

Carroll is still suffering from his deep stab wound and he is becoming very erratic in his thoughts and behavior. With Roderick gone he tries to lean on Emma’s support. She is still wary of him after he slapped her recently.

Carroll decides to enact his getaway plan and he enlists the help of Emma, Jacob and a couple other followers. Jacob doesn’t seem too confident of Carroll’s ability to lead the followers but he goes with the plan anyways.

The FBI finds the dead body of a follower hanging inside the empty Crazy House. Meanwhile, Jacob, Emma, Carroll, and Claire have invaded the home of Vicki Gray and her husband in Havenport, Maryland.

Crazy finds the FBI

The FBI searches the empty house and Ryan finds a note: Dear Ryan, the final chapter has begun.

Back at the Gray’s residence, Carroll and the team are hiding out until nightfall. Jacob says he feels uncomfortable and when he joined the cult he thought it would just be him and Emma.

Outside the FBI headquarters a couple followers have arrived and joined the crowd of news reporters. Ryan goes outside because he thinks they might be there but he can’t identify them. One follower starts doing an interview with a local news reporter and starts quoting ‘The Masque of the Red Death’, then the follower stabs the reporter and gets taken down by Ryan.

Dinner with the Grays

Ryan talks to ‘Annabelle Lee’ and demands to know where Claire is. He flips a table and puts a gun to the woman’s head. She says Claire has to die so Ryan can be reborn.

Carroll has cooked a pasta dinner for everyone. Claire asks Carroll to spare the Grays’ lives and have them deliver a message to Ryan. Carroll said a message is already being delivered.

Emma apologizes to Jacob and says she wishes she could make things right. Jacob kisses and holds her and says everything will be okay.

Claire hurts Carroll again

Two police officers are checking out the neighborhood and they arrive at the Grays’ residence. Emma answers the door, and one of the officers hesitates after he realizes she doesn’t live in the home. She shoots the officers. In the dining room, Carroll untied Claire so she could pour some wine. When he gets distracted by Emma’s gunshots, she hits him over the head, stabs him in his wound with a knife, frees the Grays and runs off with them.

Ryan, Parker and Weston are trying to figure out why The Masque of the Red Death is so prominent with Carroll and his followers. Weston concludes the followers are planning a mass death at a place where people may seek refuge – the local evacuation center. Some of them may be followers so the FBI goes in to do a sweep.

The plan is set into motion.

Mayhem breaks out. Ryan makes eye contact with a guy he saw earlier outside of the FBI center. The guy gives a signal and the followers start attacking everyone nearby. The FBI shoots down some followers while Ryan chases down the guy he recognized. Parker gets trapped by two followers.

Claire and the Grays are running but they are tracked down by Jacob and Emma. They capture Claire and let the other two run free.

Goodbye Jacob

With the FBI distracted at the evacuation center, Carroll arrives at a boat with Claire, Emma, and Jacob. He boards with Claire and heads to sea, while Emma and Jacob get back into the car. He tells Emma that they should escape, instead of sticking around and eventually dying for Carroll. Emma says ‘I love you, and I love Joe, but I don’t know how to love you both.’ She slits Jacob’s throat and he dies.

Weston notices Parker is missing. She was captured by two followers who have dragged her into an empty coffin. They nail it shut and start piling dirt on top of the coffin as Parker screams from inside.

BATES MOTEL “OCEAN VIEW” SEASON 1, EPISODE 5 RECAP

Norman tries to help his mother.

Norman returns home after spending the night with Bradley. Dylan tells him Norma is in jail.

Dylan and Norman go to the jail to visit her. She screams at them to leave and says she doesn’t need their help. Later Shelby brings her food but doesn’t speak to her.

Norman is at home going through papers and Emma stops by. He finds the deed to the hotel and he’s planning to use it for bail money. Meanwhile, Dylan goes to work and wonders about getting an advance for a few thousand dollars.

Emma and Freddie wait outside of a bail bondsman’s office and he tells her that Shelby is holding a woman in his basement. Emma wants to go to the police or at least find the woman, but Norman asks her to wait until he fixes the problem with Norma. Emma kisses him.

Norman still has Bradley on his mind and he sends her a sweet text. Then he receives a text from the bail bondsman who says Norma will be released at 9am the next morning.

Norma screams, then gets some help.

Norman and Norma visit a defense attorney who wants to create a ‘self defense’ case. Norma is adamant that she did not commit the murder and she walks out. In the car she yells at Norman for getting laid while she was at home crying her eyes out before getting arrested. She’s also upset that he told Dylan everything. Norman says she’s scary and she needs help; Norma kicks him out of the car and drives off. Then Dylan picks him up on his motorcycle.

At home, Dylan says he’s getting his own place and he wants Norman to move in with him, no matter if Norma goes to jail or not. Norman says she needs someone to be with her, but Dylan tells him to cut the umbilical cord.

Dylan’s friend loans him the $5000 that he needs. They’re sitting in a truck and some guy comes up to the window and shoots the friend in the neck. Dylan drops him off at a hospital and leaves. Dylan tracks down the guy who shot his friend and runs him over with the truck.

Norma secretly meets with Shelby. He tells her it’s not safe for them to see each other anymore. Norma gets upset but Shelby says that he loves her and it hurt him to see her in jail. He says he’ll think of something, and then he goes to the evidence room at the jail and steals the watch.

Thinking about Bradley….and Shelby’s sex slave.

Norma receives a phone call from her attorney. The attorney wanted the watch so she could do her own testing with the carpet fiber. The police can’t find the watch though, and without that they have no case, so the case against Norma is dropped.

Norman is still trying to contact Bradley but she hasn’t been responding to his text messages or phone calls. He gets upset when Norma tells him that her case has been dropped because the watch is missing, and she believes Shelby is behind it. Norman says, ‘That’s great, what’s he gonna make you do for that?’ Emma comes by and picks him up.

Emma is trying to talk to Norman about the girl in Shelby’s basement but Norman is distracted. He tells her that he’s with Bradley now but Emma doesn’t seem fazed, and she just calls it a ‘hook-up.’ She thinks Shelby and Keith were probably working together in the sex slave business, and she suspects Shelby is now hiding his woman on Keith’s boat.

Emma and Norman find the woman on Keith’s boat and they bring her to a room at the Bates Motel. Norma bursts into the room and demands to know what’s going on. Norman says he and Emma have found the woman that Shelby was hiding, and the woman confirms this to Norma.

Yes, this a recap which means – spoilers!

Weston sees Roderick

In Maryland, Ryan and Parker are talking to Roderick about finding Carroll. They are coming up with a ‘game plan.’

Weston is walking around the sheriff’s office and he recognizes Roderick as one of the followers who orchestrated his beating. Weston pulls out a gun but he’s taken down by other officers while Roderick calmly walks out.

Roderick’s real name is Tim Nelson. Parker pulls up his entire history and she figures out Carroll was his advisor in school.

The media arrives and Ryan holds an unauthorized press conference. He says any follower who gives up the Crazy House location while receive full immunity for their crimes. He says it’s first come, first serve.

What’s the game plan, Carroll?

Roderick runs to the Crazy House and tells Carroll the bad news. Roderick thinks Carroll is hiding a plan from him, and he says he’s on the front lines every day protecting the following while Carroll writes a book and pines after an ex-wife who doesn’t want him anymore.

Carroll starts choking him but lets go, and Roderick wonders if Carroll will actually kill him one day. After Carroll and the followers watch Ryan’s press conference, Roderick kidnaps Joey and leaves the Crazy House.

The Followers are too late…

Carroll sends Jacob, Michael, and Ethan to find and KILL Roderick, and bring Joey home safely. Claire begs Jacob to find Joey and keep him far away from the Crazy House.

Weston gets a report that Roderick was seen getting into a waitress’ car. The car gets pulled over and Roderick shoots the two officers. He’s about to kill the waitress but he gets surrounded by the FBI and they take him into custody.

Time for negotiations

Of course Roderick wants to make a deal with Ryan, and he says that he kidnapped Joey Matthews as collateral, so he won’t be killed by Carroll. Ryan uses Roderick’s phone to call Carroll, and Carroll says he’ll personally peel the skin from Roderick’s body if Joey is hurt.

Roderick says he’ll hand over Joey to the FBI if they let him go free. Nick Donovan says ‘hell no’ to that and the FBI will find a different way to find Joey.

Roderick makes good on his part of the deal

Ryan sneaks Roderick out of the FBI office! The deal is Roderick leads Ryan to Joey, and then he can go free. Ryan dumps his weapons and his cell phone behind (as requested by Roderick) before driving away from the facility. Jacob and his crew discreetly follow Ryan’s police car.

Ryan and Roderick go into a house and Ryan pulls Joey out of a closet. Weston was hiding in the trunk the whole time and he calls Nick and Parker and then heads inside just in time to see Roderick pull a gun on Ryan. Roderick is shot and killed, but Weston didn’t pull the trigger…

Emma faces Carroll’s wrath

Emma starts freaking out and asks Carroll about their safety. She tries to snuggle up to him and he reminds her that all they have is sex, and nothing more. He accuses her of being neglectful and allowing Joey out of her eyesight. He slaps her when she talks back.

Ryan to the rescue

Jacob and his crew head closer to the house and eventually they come inside and start fighting with Ryan and Weston. Michael and Ethan are killed while Jacob tries to run off with Joey, but he’s stopped by Ryan. Jacob runs away and leaves Joey behind.

Carroll’s day goes from bad to worse

Emma and Jacob talk. He says they are going to die soon. Claire talks to Carroll and says she’ll stay and she’ll do whatever he wants, under one condition – don’t try to bring Joey back into the Crazy House. She said she will love him again but it will take time. They start to kiss and Claire stabs him in the abdomen before she’s dragged away by some followers.

A drunken and injured Carroll calls Ryan and says that it’s time for Claire to die.

A woman named Melissa arrives at the FBI office. She’s a follower and wants to take Ryan’s deal. Nick attempts to take her to a holding room but she stabs him in the eye with her hair ornament, and then she is shot dead by the surrounding officers.
